Terance Manly Joins Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods as Design Gallery Manager

Terance Manly HeadshotWith the much-anticipated opening of Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods’ Design Gallery just a matter of weeks away, we felt it high time to introduce our fans to the man who will serve as the driving force behind the daily operations at the exciting new showroom.  Terance Manly joined the Acadia team in August 2013 as the Atlanta new home builder’s first ever Design Gallery Manager. Ever since he came on board, he has been working closely with Acadia’s VP of Operations, Michael Rosenberg to bring their combined vision to life.

“Terance’s impeccable sense of style and vision makes him a natural choice to lead our design gallery,” insists Michael. “Given his history in fashion and management of design showrooms, we have no doubt that customers will feel at ease and inspired as Terance walks them through the process of making their new Acadia home uniquely their own. “

Terance began his colorful career as a fashion manager and buyer for a national department store. He eventually found his true niche when he made his way to the design side in the home furnishings department. He later made the leap to residential construction, where he managed design showrooms for two other respected Atlanta builders before joining the team at Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods.

“Acadia is a very progressive builder – something that will shine through in its new Design Gallery experience,” explains Terance. “Much like a modern museum, the state-of-the-art Gallery utilizes technology in new and exciting ways. My favorite elements are the Inspiration Zones – which offer up four different vignettes that Acadia embraces to appeal to a wide variety of homebuyers: Traditional, Contemporary, Transitional and Craftsman. Each vignette combines tangible elements, visual images and digital technology to inspire their visitors from the moment they enter the Gallery.  From there, they can visit a variety of interior and exterior interactive stations that truly set our Gallery apart from other showrooms. They can see samples of elements vertically displayed, such as countertops, backsplashes, cabinetry, and hardware to get a sneak peek of what their kitchen might look like. I anticipate that this will be their favorite part of the home buying experience – second only to when they open the door to their new Acadia home for the first time. I truly want to make every buyer that visits our showroom feel special.  Above-and-beyond levels of customer service and spa-like ambiance will let each person know we truly value them as buyers.  I look forward to assisting each homeowner in personalizing their new space.”

Design isn’t merely Terance’s career, it’s his passion. When not in the Design Gallery, Terance can often be found performing research – poring over the latest home design magazines, catching a show on HGTV, or scrolling through images on for inspiration.  In addition to design and fashion, Terance loves listening to jazz music and taking part in wine-tastings. He is eager to meet Acadia’s newest home buyers in the Design Gallery in 2014. Slated to open its doors in January, the Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods’ Design Gallery promises to stay true to its tagline… “Prepare to Be Inspired!”
